Principal’s Report

We have reached the end of term one 2010 in what has been an extremely busy and
successful time for staff and students at The Forest High School. I would like to take
this opportunity to thank some of our brilliant staff for their dedication and commitment
this term. Special mention  needs to go to Ms Krilich for her outstanding work leading the technology team and organising the installation of our new smart boards, Mr Stapleton
for his work with the team on High Resolves and Mr Davies for his work with the new
signs that highlight PBEL.

In the immediate future we have a number of important events that I would like to highlight
for parents and the community.

Staff Development Day Term 2

On Monday April 19 The Forest High School will hold the next staff development day. The
focus of the day will be quality teaching with particular emphasis on rich assessment tasks
with quality assessment criteria and quality marking. I would like to take this opportunity to
invite parents and/or members of the community to participate in this professional learning.
If you are interested please contact the school.

Examination Period

The Year 11 Half Yearly examination period commences on Tuesday April 20 and concludes on Friday April 30. All students need to be utilising a consistent study program to achieve the marks they deserve and overcome examination pressures. We wish Year 11 well in these important examinations.

I wish all students and staff a safe and happy holiday.

Shane Molony

Acting Principal

CANTEEN NEWS

LUNCH BOX OPTION
The Canteen has developed a new option for students/staff to bring their own plastic lunch box (NOT take-away containers) to the canteen for over the counter options (salads, pastas, fried rice etc. options).

These items are usually $3.50, but if you use your own container and be ECO Friendly these items will be reduced to $3 a serve.

Thank you.
